Week in Review: Week 15 {Living Outside the Stacks}

Just about every morning I post a picture of myself with a cup of coffee. I do this as a way of connecting with my friends and just starting my day off right. As much as I’d love to sit with each of you, share a cup of coffee, and enjoy a laugh, I know that’s not possible… So this is my way of making it happen. If you’re on Instagram or Facebook, please feel free to share a picture of yourself with your favorite beverage.

Last Spring, these little guys were all over the library as part of a game being played by students. I thought it was creative and fun. There were toy soldiers in the stacks, on top of display cases, hidden in plants, etc. It makes me happy that our students are comfortable using our library as a staging area for their games.

This was my entry in the weekend photo challenge hosted by Instagram. The theme was “Type in the Wild”. I like the message on the side of the barn, even with the spelling error.

The Hubs and I took the kids to see “God’s Not Dead” on Saturday morning. I enjoyed the movie and appreciated the message. You can’t prove or disprove God’s existence to someone who doesn’t want to believe. Ultimately, it comes down to choice {which is based on faith}. Whether we choose now or we choose later, at some point, we all will have to make a decision as to what we believe.

The Cape Arts Council in Cape Girardeau is hosting the 2014 Cape Girardeau Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit this summer. This means there are all of these beautiful sculptures in different locations in downtown Cape. My goal is to get a picture of each of them.

Week in Review: Week 15 {Living Outside the Stacks}

This week ended Week 2, Day 3 of Run for God. Every time I run, I think: I got to run today, not I had to run today, but I got to run today. Each day I have a choice: I can accept the challenge laid before me or I can quit. This weekend, Easter Weekend, is a reminder of why I must press on. He gave His all for me, so I give my all for Him.

What was the highlight of your week?

I’m linking up with:

  • 2014 Daily Selfie ~ Instagram: I’m doing this with a few of my Instagram friends. “Selfie” is open to interpretation, as long as there is part of your body in the photo, it counts. Use the hashtag #2014dailyselfie.
  • Life Rearranged ~ Instafriday: Share the stories behind the filtered pictures. Link up on Fridays.
