When I Think of the Goodness of Jesus {Word Filled Wednesday}

When we moved to Missouri, I tried not to think about all the things that I’d be giving up {a career that I loved, people I enjoyed working with on a daily basis, etc.} and focus on the things that I’d be gaining  {living closer to my family, a promotion for the hubs, etc.} but it was still scary.

I practically hyperventilated every time I thought about all the bills. Bills we still had to pay. On one salary. Yes, the hubs got a promotion but it didn’t come with a two~person salary increase. Our house in Pennsylvania still hasn’t sold. We have a kid in college, two in high school and one in junior high. And don’t get me started on the vehicles…

After one particularly vomit~inducing bill paying session, the hubs told me to write all of our bills on a sheet of paper and stick it in the Bible. I flipped my Bible open to Philippians 4:19:

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus

And I didn’t think anything else of it.

Until a few days ago when I realized that God has totally made a way out of no way and I hadn’t been thanking Him for it. God has so seamlessly blessed us that I didn’t even realize it was happening. Every month, God has given us enough money to meet all {not some} but all of our needs.

So when I think about the goodness of Jesus and all that He’s done for me and my family, my soul cries out Hallelujah, I thank God for saving me!
