THE AGELESS STYLE LINKUP
Ten ladies, forty and over, show you that style doesn’t have an age limit. A themed linkup takes place on the first Tuesday of every month.
This month’s theme is: Flower Power and was chosen by Debbie from Fashion Fairy Dust. When I was a kid, I used to tell my mom that she had me in the wrong decade because I totally would’ve run away from home to live in some hippie commune. I even had a hippie name that I forced asked my family to use: Dani Blue Sky Eagle Feather. I was very, ummmm, different as a child. My hippie ways have mellowed over the years, but I still have a bit of a bohemian relaxed feel to my personality, and I think it shows in my casual wear.
MY LOOK
One of the questions that I get asked the most is do I really dress up every day? The answer is a resounding NO! The clothes that you see in these posts or on Instagram are generally taken in the morning when I’m getting ready to go to work or church. On the weekends, I’m in a cotton tunic, jeans, and sandals. But the one thing that is pretty consistent, is the cup of coffee.
Tunic ~ Old Navy | Necklace ~ Old | Gold Hoops ~ QVC | Jeans ~ Old | Sandals ~ Target
The Hubs and I recently bought a camper and have been taking it on a few adventures and this is totally something I would wear on one of those weekends. When we go out, we don’t just hang out at the camp grounds, we like to go into town and explore. This outfit works well for walking and shopping and just being comfortable.
This tunic is one of my favorites because it’s comfortable and it’s made from cotton, which means it breathes. Breathable fabrics are needed here in Georgia because heat and humidity and sticky clothes. I also like the muted vintagy feel of the fabric. It’s kind of Little House on the Prairie meets flower child. The jeans are old and broken in. My butt knows just where to settle when I put them on. And the sandals are my knock off Birkenstocks. I seriously want a pair but I can’t decide on a style. I like these and these.
