Hi, welcome to the Ageless Style Linkup. The linkup runs the first Tuesday of each month and features 10 women over the age of 40 styling an outfit based on one theme, and, because we’re all so different, each theme interpretation is different. This month’s theme is: “Yellow” and was chosen by Jennie from A Pocketful of Polka Dots because so few of us actually wear yellow. Very true. Our guest co-host, also selected by Jennie, is Amy from Amy’s Creative Pursuits.
MY LOOK
Ahhhh, yellow. I absolutely adore this color. It’s so bright and sunny and it makes me happy. But I rarely wear it. Because, quite honestly, I’m the same color as Bart Simpson and yellow blends in. Seriously, I don’t know how many times I’ve worn yellow pants and my sister has texted me to ask about the nudity policy where I live and work.
So I figured if I wore a yellow top with a print, that would keep her from texting, and me from getting arrested.
During the Spring / Summer, I rarely wear full length pants to work {even though the library is freeeezing}. Ankle pants allow me to show off the shoes that I’ve had stowed away during the colder weather. And speaking of shoes, how fabulous are these wedges? My coworkers were a little, “Whoa, girl” when they saw them but the students kept stopping me to tell me how much they loved my shoes. They’re definitely attention grabbers.
