11 July {Living Outside the Stacks} #operationsnapback

Doesn’t it feel like I’m writing one of these posts every 6 months? Like when am I gonna hit my goal and write my celebratory post? I don’t know. But I do know that I’m not going to give up until I reach my goal.

Fit is not a destination. It is a way of life. ~Unknown Click To Tweet

I keep forgetting that. I’ll lose a pound or two, or I’ll hit my 10,000 step goal a couple of times and get complacent. I have to keep it moving. And I have to keep eating right.

I’m using Slim Fast to jump start my weight loss. You know, two shakes a day and a sensible meal in the evening. The hardest part about following this diet is that there aren’t any lactose free shakes, so I have to remember to bring my Lactaid pills with me every day. In fact, I got so tired of forgetting them that I ended up throwing a package of them into my lunch bag and just leaving them in there. The shakes themselves don’t taste bad. I prefer the Chocolate Royale followed by the French Vanilla. The Strawberries and Cream left a weird aftertaste. My dinners consist of whatever the girls make…

The Stats:

  • Starting Weight: 164 lbs
  • Starting Waist: 34 in
  • Starting Hips: 43 in

Fitbit Stats:

I try to make sure I hit 10,000 steps per day. There’s something thrilling about feeling my wrist vibrate. I also try to hit the stairs at work at least once every hour so that I’m not sitting still all day. Being a librarian is one of those jobs where you can either be on your feet all day or on your butt, so I make a concentrated effort to move.

If you’re on Fitbit, send me a request and let’s encourage each other.

I’ll be posting my stats the second Monday of the month and linking up with Fatima at Off the Potomac for Operation Snap Back at the end of the month. Feel free to follow Operation Snap Back on Instagram for photographic inspiration.

Be healthy,
