Coffee Talk {living outside the stacks}

I’d like to welcome you to Coffee Talk. If you’re new here, this is where I share some of the great and not~so~great stuff that I find on the web. Topics range from news stories that leave me scratchin’ my head to DIYs that I think are absolutely clever. And, who knows, there may even be a recipe thrown in here or there just for fun.

So grab a cup of coffee {or tea or whatever floats your boat} and let’s talk…

I know I’ve mentioned this before but I love love love Fall. I love sweater weather. I love boots.  But, most of all, I love the return of my favorite TV shows {The Walking Dead, I’m looking at you or running from you, whichever}.

That being said, have you watched the new shows that’ve come out?

I’m currently obsessed with two new TV shows: Speechless and Designated Survivor. You guys, are you watching either of these shows? What I love about Speechless is the writing and the acting and the timing and everything. The show is about a family who has a special needs child teenager and how the family finds their place while making sure that JJ {Micah Fowler} has a voice. The show is written with humor, grace, frustration, and a whole lot of everything else in between. And, gosh, Minnie Driver is hilarious. Designated Survivor stars Keifer Sutherland. Need I say more? Are you waiting for any returning shows? Have any new shows captured your attention?

I’ll be teaching two classes this semester: American history to 1877 and American history from 1877 to the present. This’ll be the first time that I’ve taught two classes at once and two different time periods. One class is completely online, while the other is a mix of online and face~to~face time. I am so incredibly nervous. I’m hoping I don’t get my sessions mixed up or call students by the wrong names or anything. I’m looking forward to this opportunity. The good thing is that these are both short sessions, so deep cleansing breaths.

Now it’s your turn, what has you scratching your head?

Sipping my coffee while you talk,

Daenel T {Living Outside the Stacks}
