Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty nice. I spent time with The Hubs ~ breakfast, the River Walk, and church. Nice and quiet, just how we like it. We’re still tossing around RV ideas. I think we’ve both decided that we want to buy an old Airstream and remodel it. That’s big for us. We’ve never undergone a reno project together before. And I’m fairly certain my idea of old {read vintage} Airstream remodel {bohemian chic/glamp~tastic} is very different from his idea {house on wheels}. So we’ll see how that goes.

In the meantime, here are some pictures from last week. It seems my life was all about the Mississippi River…

Vintage clutch. This vintage beaded clutch was purchased at Annie Laurie’s Antiques. I knew I’d probably never carry it but I couldn’t leave it in the store either. It’s now a piece of home decor on my end table.

Street Art. On the interior of the flood wall is an abundance of street art. Downtown Cape is an incredibly artsy area. It’s nothing to see musicians and artists down by the river sharing their talents.

Inukshuk. My friends, doulalana and amissiontosave explained to me that in Canada, these stacked rocks are used by the Aboriginal people to relay messages.

Panoramic view. I didn’t know that my cell phone could take panoramic pictures. How goofy am I? Yay for that discovery {thank you, LG G2} and double yay for the Mississippi River being so beautiful.

Instagram Week in Review {Living Outside the Stacks}Still running. I’ve signed up for the Run for God Virtual Pinky 5K. I haven’t had an opportunity to run with any of the Run for God graduates yet but we’re still keeping in touch via Facebook. And I have run into a few of them while out on the trail.

Yarn bombing. We found a bench in the historic district of Cape that had been yarn bombed. Of course, my nephew made himself comfortable.

So focused. For months I’ve been wondering who has been stacking rocks along the River, now I know. You wouldn’t believe the amount of focus and patience it takes for him to get the rocks to balance.

Random silliness. Having a three~year~old in the house is making me incredibly silly. I love how uninhibited he is and how he forces us to laugh, hug, and exercise an abundance of patience.

The Mississippi River. Look at how high the water is! Just a few weeks ago, we were walking along that space that’s now under the river. Just unreal.

Flood Wall Reflection. I have to say this is one of my favorite pictures of the flood wall by the Mississippi River. It captures everything I love about the area: the art, the historic buildings, and the colors.

Favorite coffee picture. I like the colors on this, the pink from my Sseko Designs sandals just pops against the darkness of the concrete.

If you’re on Instagram, don’t forget to follow {I’m 4daenelt} and give me a yell in the comments so I know you’re there and can follow you too.

What are you looking forward to this week?
