I can’t remember what I was doing or where I heard it but I think it may have been a radio show or a podcast… Anyway, the host and the guest were talking about how mean everything has become:
- politics
- TV shows
- people
And, ya know, listening to them talk was kinda depressing, but they ended on a hopeful note.
Their advice was for each of us to make an effort to say or do at least one nice thing for someone each day. You know, give a compliment, buy a cup of coffee, hold a door, etc.
I’m going to go a step further and ask that you reflect on this:
[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Matthew 22:37-39
We can make our spaces kinder and more loving, one person at a time. Just treat others as you would have them treat you.
With love and grace,
