Monday Mingle: Fall Foods, Pinterest and Facebook Timeline

Makeup Free MondayMakeup Free Monday is hosted by The Beauty Beanas an initiative for women to celebrate real beauty.  I love makeup almost as much as I love shoes but I also like encouraging women to embrace their natural beauty.  Confidence is beautiful, makeup is the enhancer.

If you decide to participate in Makeup Free Monday let me know in the comments.

Monday Mingle is hosted by Jenn at Eighty MPH Mom. If you’d like to participate, simply create a short vlog in which you answer the questions and then hit up the linky. Don’t forget to grab the badge and leave some comment love for your fellow participants. After all, isn’t that what mingling is all about?

This week’s questions are:

1.  Are you in the Fall/Autumn cooking mood yet?

I wouldn’t necessarily call this “Fall/Autumn cooking mood” but I have decided that for the month of October my family will be going meatless.  I noticed that we weren’t really eating as much fruits and vegetables as we should, so I figured if we focused one day out of the week on eating the green stuff, perhaps…

Last Monday, we had Spinach, Tomato and Cheese Tortellini.  It was so delish!  Click here for the recipe.  Tonight we’re having Vegetarian Chili with Rice.  I have to include rice with the chili or their will be a revolt.  I hope tonight’s dinner goes over as well as last week’s did.

2.  Do you like Pinterest?

I just signed up for Pinterest last week (please feel free to follow me by clicking here) and I’m not sure I get it just yet.  This week I’m participating in a Pinterest challenge that’s being hosted by Aubree at Yellow Blackbird. The challenge is to use Pinterest to find inspiration for an outfit.  The outfit also has to consist of items already in your closet.  The results will be posted on Wednesday.

3.  What do you think of the Facebook changes?

I love the new changes.  Normally, I go kicking and screaming into Facebook’s view of the future but this time, I jumped through all sorts of hoops to get Facebook Timeline early.  I think I may have had it a week and a half earlier or something like that.

The problem with complaining about the changes is that we all seem to forget that Facebook is a free service.  You can’t really complain about something that’s being given to you…

Next week’s questions are:

1.  What is your favorite food?

2.  What food do you hate?

3.  What other blog hops or weekly memes do you do?
