Hi, all! I hope you’re having a great week so far. Mine has been so~so. And it’s only Wednesday. Like I tell the hubs, sometimes my job interferes with my ability to live. Know what I mean? I get off work at 5, have about a 15 to 20 minute commute depending on traffic then I get home and really want to do nothing. Instead, I change clothes and start cooking; I realize this is every woman’s routine (whether she works in or out of the home) but it’s exhausting.
The hubs has precious little free time too, so when we do get a chance to spend time together, I get all excited and I start planning my outfit waaaay in advance. When I first looked in the mirror, I wasn’t sure if the actual picture was as nice as my mental one.
I wanted things to be simple yet dressy because we really didn’t have a plan for how we’d spend our time together. Cute initial necklace, huh? It was a gift many years ago from one of my kids from the school Christmas store. I didn’t start wearing it until this year, who knew my kids had such good taste?
For weeks, I’d been looking for a black maxi skirt. Thank you, Pinterest, for these random fashion obsessions. But it was almost impossible until last week when I walked into Walmart and saw this one hanging on the rack all by it’s lonesome. It was just begging to come home with me; naturally, I obliged.
When I walked out of the room, the hubs whispered “Wow”. Let me tell ya, that’s the best compliment ever. You can see some of the pictures from our wandering by clicking here.
What’s a typical date night outfit for you?
