During the 2010 Olympics, Proctor &Gamble launched a successful “Proud Sponsor of Mom” campaign. During this campaign, P&G ensured that mothers of Team USA athletes were able to support and encourage their children by helping to defray travel costs and providing them with a safe and secure location to eat meals, view events and relax. And for moms of future Olympians (we can dream, can’t we?), P&G offered money saving coupons, Olympic updates using various forms of social media and other fun ideas to show support for moms all over the U.S.
P&G celebrated the success of the first campaign by launching “P&G Thank you, Mom” which is phase two of their celebration of moms. P&G Thank you, Mom will hit the airwaves and print media this weekend ~ Mother’s Day Weekend with a variety of fun ideas to help you say “Thank you, Mom.”
P&G Thank you, Mom allows you to show your support for mom (or someone who’s like a mom to you) by:
*Creating digital P&G eCards to send to Mom for all the fabulous things she does
*Entering a contest on thankyoumom.com where you could win a video camera and $1000 toward travel expenses so you can say “Thank you, Mom” in person
*Receiving a $100 coupon book towards the purchase of P&G products
This is a great opportunity to show Mom some love and save money at the same time (something we all love).
Disclosure: I did not receive any compensation for this post, however, my husband is a P&G employee.
