Random Thoughts #NaBloPoMo

  1. Yesterday we had Ladies’ Night at church and Omg I had a massage for the very first time. Ah~mazing! I so could have fallen asleep on the massage table ~ she hit some spots that I didn’t even know were there and others that almost made me cry because it was so tender and knotty. Thank you very much to those teens of mine. If you’re ever in the Jackson, Missouri area, give Amanda a call (contact me for her information).
  2. We had some intense winds last night. It was so bad that these trees kept scraping the side of the house so I couldn’t sleep. Guess who had to go outside and cut down some branches this morning? Hint: It wasn’t me.
  3. The hubs keeps asking me if I’m still happy that we moved here. Yeah, I am. In fact, the other day I was driving down the street and I started smiling because I was just so happy, then a guy in a pickup truck pulled out in front of me without even looking and I had to slam on brakes and swerve to avoid hitting the back of his truck, which reminded me that Missouri is ranked 2nd for having the worst drivers. But I’m still happy to be here.
  4. And speaking of the hubs, guess what he did yesterday? He surprised me with my very own Nikon D3100. Yes, y’all! The hubs bought me my very own DSLR. Over the last few months I’ve sorta become the unofficial church photographer, so this was my congratulations gift. The picture above is of some leaves on my front porch; it was taken with my new camera (you can see other pictures by clicking here).
  5. National Blog Posting MonthRemember the birds from my garage in Pennsylvania? You can watch the video  by clicking here. Well, they’ve followed me here. And, apparently, their leader is a stalker. Yesterday, there was a single bird that seemed to be following us everywhere ~ inside department stores, inside the grocery store, on the hood of my car… I mean, come on. Y’all know I was doing all sorts of screaming yesterday.
