The View Blab Fest

Today my drink of choice was Black Chai Spice… sometimes even I need a break from coffee. Really? Did I just say that? It must be something goofy happening to my system because of the run and severe lack of sleep. Hopefully, the ladies can perk me up.

Hot Topics
Valerie Bertinelli’s Sex Life
Hard to believe she’s 50. Even harder to believe that she discussed her sex life in detail ~ the table, the floor, the sofa, etc. Yuck! I do not need to know that about her. And haven’t celebs realized that whenever they talk about how in love they are, within a month they’re breaking up or filing for divorce?

Monique and Sandra Bullock on Marriage
Monique says her man has given her protection and that marriage has given her life. Sandra stated that she thought marriage meant the end of herself. It’s so funny to hear those two different definitions of marriage from women who are in happy relationships (but again I go back to my whole thing of celebs who discuss their marriages end up splitting) because I think any many ways, their ideas of marriage are intertwined. The basic principal of marriage is that two people join together to become one, which really is a strange concept, when you consider how diverse each of our backgrounds are.

Guests
Abigail Breslin
Ooooh, one of my favorite plays, The Miracle Worker, stars Abigail Breslin. As a child I was obsessed with Helen Keller (maybe because my eyesight is so bad that I was looking for someone to look up to). Anyway, Abigail is all grown up. I can’t believe this is the same little girl Little Miss Sunshine. She’s so mature, I really hope that she makes it and continues on the path that she’s on right now.

Mia Wasikowska
I am soooooooo looking forward to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. He is so incredibly twisted and Johnny Depp is the perfect “character” for his movies. Mia said 90% of the movie is done in front of a green screen so this movies stretches the actors’ imaginations as well as the audiences’. The movie opens tomorrow….wonder if I can get my kids to go with me?

Fela
The cast of Fela performed the song Zombie. Fela tells about the controversial life of artist, political activist and revolutionary Fela Anikulapo~Kuto.
