Thursday Wrap~Up

Maybe I was too happy the other day when I started C25K. Or maybe Global Warming is conspiring against me and causing massive amounts of snow to get dumped on my area. Or maybe I’m just not meant to run. Whatever it is, something is keeping me off the track because yesterday we were dumped on like you wouldn’t believe. Schools were closed and we were placed under a State of Emergency, so no hitting the track for me today.

I ended up not exercising today. I just took it as a “free” day and did nothing. Well, that’s not exactly true, I wore my pedometer and I joined a gym. Yup, you read it right, I am officially a gym rat. I have a training session scheduled for tomorrow morning and I’m pretty stoked. My goal is to work on my abs and, of course, hit the treadmill when I can’t run outside.

I also signed up for the 2010 Shrinking Jeans Olympics which is a fun exercise challenge for the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans. It runs from 12 to 22 February. If you’d like to join in the fun, head on over to the Sisterhood and RSVP.

Today wasn’t the best day but I needed it, quite honestly. My legs are sore from not taking any real workout breaks. I do feel better though and I will go forward tomorrow and exercise my little heart out.
