Look who’s tryin’ to get all fancy like with her What I Wore Wednesday pictures? Yep, I am. I’ve even tried to name the outfit. OK, that’s less about me being clever and more about me having way too many sleepless nights. The family and I are preparing to move from Pennsylvania to Missouri and I’m stressed, y’all, stressed, I say. Hopefully, Missouri is a big ol’ spa and I’ll have a woo~sah moment once we arrive until then there’s What I Wore Wednesday to keep me sane…
Wednesday ~ Renaissance Librarian
Tunic, Jeggings ~ Deb’s
Bracelet ~ Target
Sandals ~ Dollar General
I was having a particularly good hair day and was incredibly impressed with the power of the curling iron to tame my hair into pretty little tendrily swirly things…. And the dog? He’s just a cute little something something I threw in there for fun.
Thursday ~ Soon to be Unemployed Librarian
Button Front Top ~ TJ Maxx
Jeans ~ Old Navy
Necklace ~ Target
Leather Flower Cuff ~ 3 Sisters
Leather Pumps ~ Clarks, 3pm.com
This was my last day of work at Keystone College, so I thought it was a good day to step out of my comfort zone and not only wear a button up shirt but a button up shirt with a tie belt. I’ve always felt my “girls” were way too demanding for this type of top, but I was actually quite comfortable. As we begin our new lives in Missouri, I’m sure I’ll become even more adventurous.
Friday ~ Imitation Inspiration is the Sincerest Form of Flattery Momma
Cardi, Babydoll Top ~ Deb’s
Butterfly Necklace, Earrings ~ Target
Boyfriend Jeans, Wedges ~ Kmart
Bag ~ Global Chic by Iman, HSN.com
Last week, while doing the WIWW tour, I came across Aubree’s blog, Yellow Blackbird: A Creative Blog and was immediately intrigued by her Shop Your Closet challenge and decided to give it a try. I drew my inspiration from Vera Bradley’s Yellow Bird pattern. I like the colors because they’re ones that I normally wouldn’t wear (I’m more of an earth tones kinda gal). And, honestly, I didn’t think I’d have anything in my closet to meet my needs but I did and I’m pretty happy with how the outfit came together.
The inspiration ~ Vera Bradley’s Yellow Bird
Saturday ~ Boho Chic Momma
Sweater, Wedges ~ Burlington Coat Factory
Necklace ~ Can’t Remember
T~Shirt, Bracelets, Ring ~ Target
Camisole ~ Kmart
Skirt ~ Dollar General
I hung out with the hubs all day Saturday. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that he intended to do car stuff ~ buy new tires, fix fuel pump, everything a girl doesn’t want to do when wearing a white peasant skirt and high heeled wedges.
Monday ~ Accomplished Momma
T~Shirt ~ Mom’s Toolbox
Boyfriend Crops ~ Kmart
During Spring 2011, I along with hundreds of other women read the Bible in 90 Days with Amy at Mom’s Toolbox. I have volunteered to be a mentor during this next session beginning on 11 July. To say I’m excited would be putting it mildly.
I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday, Nina from Momma Go Round for Real Momma, Real Style and Aubree at Yellow Blackbird: A Creative Blog for Shop Your Closet. If you need some fashion inspiration, check them out…
Have you stepped out of your fashion comfort zone this week? What did you wear? Is there something you refuse to wear?
