What I Wore Friday
I’m a hippy, there I said it. Miss 18 reminded me of that this week when she said “Oh, Mom, I went to this store in the mall and you would’ve loved it. This lady was playing bongos, incense were burning and they had all sorts of funky ethnic stuff. There were even hermit crabs….your kinda store, a hippie store.” I looked at her, rolled my eyes and replied, “I’m not a hippie. I’m eclectic.” Ummmm, yeah. Guess where I found myself, quite by accident, a few days later? In the “hippie store”. I didn’t realize it was the hippie store until I saw the hermit crabs. Who sells hermit crabs? In a store? At the mall? And, yes, I loved just about everything in there.

What I Wore Sunday
But every now and then, I like to flip the script and pull out a men’s wear inspired look with a vintage edge. A little faux fur, pearls and a cameo and you can “girl up” just about anything. That’s one of the things I love most about being a girl ~ one minute, I can be a hippy floating through life on love and rainbows and the next, I can be tough as nails and soft as a rose petal.
What do you enjoy most about being a woman?
