What I Wore Wednesday #6

Join me for Shoe Style Saturday this Saturday!

I’m a shoe girl big time but I also love clothes, handbags, jewelry and makeup but that’s another story. Anyway, I decided to create Shoe Style Saturday as a way to challenge myself to wear every pair of shoes that I own as well as to celebrate my love and yours for shoes. So, come on and show me your femme fatale flats, those sexy stilettos and pin~up peep toes, yes, even your racy runners. For more information, click here.

Now on to this week’s What I Wore Wednesday…

Sunday ~ Handmade Headband

Last week, I taught myself how to make a three~strand headband, so I was feeling pretty proud of my creativity, so this week, I decided to step it up a notch and make another one with ribbon and a crocheted flower.  I’m pretty proud of my handiwork.

What I Wore Monday

Sequin Tank ~ Kmart
White Tank ~ Hanes T~Shirts
Cardi ~ Target
“Faith, Love, Hope” Necklace ~ Thrifted

For the past few seasons I’ve been fascinated by all things sparkly so I finally purchased a sequin tank but I was too scared of the disco ball effect around my mid~section so I never wore it.  On Monday, I thought What the heck?  I’m wearing my sequin tank and I don’t give a rip! Besides, Miss 17 said if I’m bold enough to wear sequins to work in the library I should be brave enough to ignore my own perceived imperfections. I big puffy heart my daughter.  She ruined it by stating “Anyway, if you looked bad, trust me, I’d tell you.”  I know she would…

What I Wore Tuesday

Tunic ~ Burlington Coat Factory
Necklace ~ Target
Handbag ~ Global Chic by Iman for HSN

I love love love my big  ol’ yellow handbag.  And when I say big, I mean huuuuge.  It could fit a toddler very comfortably.  That’s also one of the reasons I don’t carry it very often, it’s big and it’s heavy but, dang, if it ain’t cute.

Do you have something in your closet that you adore but can’t figure out how to wear?

The Pleated PoppyWhat I Wore Wednesday was started by Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy as a way to force herself out of the stay~at~home/work~at~home mom wardrobe of tees and sweats.  Now others have joined in just because, well, it’s fun and it gives you ideas for different ways to mix and match your clothes.  And, seriously, don’t we all need a little inspiration? To join in, all you have to is take pictures of what you wore all week, post it to your blog and then let Lindsey know…  Don’t forget to grab her badge!
