Horse Print Dress {living outside the stacks}

This has been a crazy two weeks . Last week, The Hubs and I moved the girls into their dorms and we’ve started the process of settling in to life as a couple. This time, things are different because the girls are now an hour and a half away instead of just ten minutes. This means that all five of my kids are officially out of the house. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I mean, I’m proud but, gosh, I miss my babies.

Fortunately, I work at a college library, so I’m surrounded by other people’s babies all day long. And, I have to admit, I kinda like it… Yep, that means classes have started on campus and the students are back. Unfortunately, I won’t be teaching this semester, so things won’t be as hectic as they were last semester, but I’ll still be busy with my “day job” aka librarian.

I’ve worn this dress several times before on the blog. It’s one of my favorites. I love the whimsical print {it’s so out of character for me}. It kinda makes me feel a bit like Bernadette Rostenkowski from The Big Bang Theory. All I’m missing are the tights and the cardigan {how very un~librarian of me}. But I have a feeling they’ll be making an appearance in the near future…

I’m starting to think I’d like to add a few more dresses to my collection. I’m totally digging the fit and flare shapes lately because they skim my curves without making me feel self conscious. I’m also finding myself drawn more and more to prints and styles similar to this and this.

And about the books I’m holding… Since I have some free time, I thought I’d start reading for pleasure again. You can check out my to~be~read shelf here and read my recent reviews here. What’s on your to~be~read shelf?
