Hi, all. This has been a weird two weeks for me. I’ve been sleeping almost nonstop. Last time I did this, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. I’m guessing since I’ve had the little bugger removed, that isn’t the issue. Maybe my hormones are off again? Time to schedule an appointment with the endocrinologist. Funny part is my mind feels a whole lot sharper than it has in a loooong time. Result of all the sleep? Sometimes being a woman is hard – hormones all over the place. No pictures for that, you do not want to see crazy.

And speaking of sleeping, yesterday the hubs fell asleep on the couch and the kids got all weird, sending me text messages, asking if he and I had had a fight? LOL Now, if I fall asleep on the couch, they think that means talk to me and ask me to sign stuff; he falls asleep on the couch, that means we’ve had a fight. They were totally traumatized, they actually told me not to ever let that happen again. Ummm, kids, we do fight and sometimes we fall asleep while reading books in the living room.

Anyway, this past weekend was fun. The hubs, Miss 16, and I got to see the American Queen. She was docked in Cape Girardeau for a couple of hours so her passengers could tour the area. Isn’t she beautiful? While she was docked, we could hear the crew singing songs and playing music. The hubs has put a cruise aboard the American Queen on our Bucket List.

Yesterday I went to Columbia, MO for a library meeting. Local library meetings are not as glamorous as, say American Library Association meetings. There’s no geeking out. No complimentary tote bags. No hunting for the best dressed librarians. Just driving 3.5 hours for a 2 hour meeting about loaning AV material. sigh

How was your weekend?
