This year I’m participating in three different photography challenges. I know, I know. I do this every year and by the middle of February I tap out. Well, this year is different. These are 52 week projects, so I’m only obligated to take 3 photos a week instead of 1 photo a day. You see, the problem with 1 photo a day is there’s a lot of pressure. And that pressure can be overwhelming, especially when you want to make sure that the photos you post are decent.

With these projects, I’m easing the pressure and focusing less on perfection and more on picking up my camera {last year, I went months without shooting anything} and being creative. I also want to do a better of job of documenting my life. Looking back, that’s probably one of my biggest regrets: I didn’t take enough pictures of my kids when they were little and I didn’t take enough pictures of The Hubs and me through the years. I want to change that.

So here they are: pictures from the challenges and the memories attached…

My Favorite Things

Week 12 Favorite Things {living outside the stacks}

Red cowboy boots because RED COWBOY BOOTS!

So, did you notice something different this week? Yep, that’s right! I’ve added some color to my photography. The baby dinosaur blended a bit too much with the steering wheel so I had to process in color. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. And the red cowboy boots? Y’all they’re red cowboy boots!

I’m still processing in black and white and plan to complete the rest of my photos that way. If you’d like to see others from the collection, click here. What do you think?

If you’re on Instagram, I’d love for you to give me a shout out. I’m @DaenelT. And if you’re a book lover, I post book photos using @livingoutsidethestacks.
Happy Snapping,

Daenel T {Living Outside the Stacks}
