ABOUT STYLE IMITATING ART
Style Imitating Art is hosted by Salazar {14 Shades of Grey}, Kim {Fierce Fashion Blog}, and me. Style Imitating Art challenges us to draw style inspiration from pieces of art. Every other Monday one of us selects an inspiration image and we each post the image on our blogs. The following Monday we share our art inspired outfits. And that Wednesday, the curator shares all of the submissions on her blog.

I chose this image because it’s soothing and calming, but bright and summery. I kind of felt like we needed a bit of brightness after the past few weeks.

Jodie {Jodie’s Touch of Style}
You guys, Jodie made that sweater. SHE MADE THAT SWEATER. I cannot say type that any louder or clearer than that. I am in awe of her talent and, ohmygosh, that sweater totally looks like something I would wear. It’s so funky and colorful. And it’s HANDMADE!!
Kezzie {KezzieAG}
And we all know that I totally fan girl over Kezzie’s outfits every time she participates. I honestly don’t know which I like more, the shoes or the top, but the jewelry is pretty fab as well.
Leslie and Valerie {Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After}
And Leslie is giving us a two-fer {that’s her sister, Valerie, down below}. I love love love the print of Leslie’s maxi and the cool edginess of her denim jacket. I think I need to do that pairing… Very chic.
I think this may be the first time we’ve had sister submissions? Yay, us!! Valerie’s knotted kimono and half tuck are super cute. Love the white shorts as well, they kind of have a tailored look to them, which I think plays nicely with the relaxed vibe of her outfit.
And *bonus* they’re my librarian sisters!!
Mike {Postcard Purposes}
I think I’ve written about my love of graphic tees before, so I’m giving Mike a special social distanced high-five for joining me in the wearing of the graphic tee. The “patches” on his tee are colorful and add interest to his outfit, which is the point of a graphic tee, right?
