After the Storm {living outside the stacks}

For the past 8 or 9 days, The Hubs and I have been living in our RV while we house hunt in Louisiana and visit family in Mississippi and Texas. Usually, these RV stays are peaceful…

This week, however, we’ve had more than our fair share of storms. We had two in Louisana and one in Texas. All of them left us shaken. During the first storm, we were actually at the laundromat, so we only saw the after – downed power lines, broken tree limbs, and scattered lawn furniture. For the second and third storms, we were actually in our RV when the winds and rains became so strong that the RV was actually swaying. At one point, we were so sure that the RV was going to tip over that we fought our way out of the RV and to our truck during a momentary lull.

I have, quite honestly, never been that scared in a long time.

The Hubs and I had initially planned to live in the RV while we closed on the new house in Louisiana, now I’m having second thoughts…

Sipping all the wine,
