Hey, y’all, hey! I hope you’re having a great day so far. I am. I have coffee in hand and the sun is trying desperately to come out. I hope it makes it. I’m so ready for warmer weather. We’re still in that weird phase of Spring, where the mornings can either be in the low 50’s or high 70’s. It’s hard to know what to wear and we know that’s how we plan our days, right?

Welcome to Ageless Style! This month’s theme, “Earth Tones,” was selected Cammi, in honor of Earth Day.

I received so many compliments on Instagram when y’all saw glimpses of this top. It’s such a cool piece – the color and the fabric weight}. I like the folds around the neckline and the release around the belly because it makes the top kind of funky and playful without being too much. And, while I’ve paired the jeans with dark jeans {because this is what I wore to work}, this top can easily be paired with other colors like burgundy, mustard, black, cream, and, as in the case of my earrings, purple. In fact, I’ve even paired this top with faux leather!

And speaking of purple earrings, I was asked by a coworker why I chose to wear purple earrings instead metallics or a color from my top. Here’s my answer: these are all colors that you find together in nature and who’s gonna tell Him that He’s wrong? You don’t have to match or pick colors from your outfit, choose complimentary colors or even clashing colors to add a little fun to an outfit.

How do you pick your colors? Are you matchy-matchy or are you all about the clash? Share your preference in the comments below.
