Y’all, I’m so happy this week is nearly over. It has been… I’m just over it. I think I’m in desperate need of a real vacation. But I don’t want to use vacation time just to sit in my house, know what I mean? How are you decompressing?

THE THEME
This month’s theme, “Gems,” was selected by Mirielle.
MY OUTFIT
I’ve had this top in my closet for a couple of years now, but I think I’ve only worn it twice. I hadn’t planned to wear it with these bottoms, but I was running a few errands and wanted something lose and flowy. This top is more like a poncho than a blouse, which I like. While I’m wearing it layered over a tank, I think it’d look cute over a sweater too. Or a top with bishop sleeves.
Judging by my last few posts, you’d think I’m wearing nothing but Kantha, and you would be right. Don’t believe me? Check out my posts on Instagram. The colors are everything and the fabric is darn near perfect. And I’m not a silk wearer, but I will wear this silk any day of the week. I will say, though, Louisiana humidity is not kind to silk. LOL But I’m still gonna wear my pieces.

The colors in these palazzo pants are everything and the fabric is darn near perfect. And I’m not a silk wearer, but I will wear this silk any day of the week.
These palazzo pants are different from any other palazzo pants I’ve ever seen. Rather than being an actual pant, they’re more like a skirt that has been sewn just a smidge up the middle. I love love love this style because I can wear them to work without worrying about wind gusts.
