Heyyyyy, I’m in a really good mood right now. Today is my Thursday and I am so ready for the weekend. Not that I have anything planned, it’s just that I get to kick back and relax. These 10-hour days ain’t no joke. I’m usually in bed around 10 or 11, but with our summer schedule, I’m in the bed by 8:30 or 9. Which means that I wake up early and can’t go back to sleep. It’s a cycle. LOL

THE THEME
This month’s theme, “Summer Brights,” was selected by Jamie. While it’s not officially summer yet, it certainly feels like it here in Louisiana. There are days when I feel like everything is about to melt off me. And that’s saying a lot because it usually takes a lot for me to get hot.
MY OUTFIT
I’m typically not a bright color person, which is funny since I grew up living in neons and bold prints, so this challenge was a bit of a struggle for me. In the end, I opted for this citrus orange sleeveless top with this incredible gold embroidery. Y’all know my love for all things embroidered. Because I wore this outfit to work, I chose to wear a gold cami underneath to keep things safe. However, if I were going out with The Hubs, I’d definitely go a little sexy and omit the cami.
To keep the focus on the top, I wore my trusty olive cropped pants. Whenever I’m not sure what to wear one of my tops with, I grab these crops because olive goes with everything and these pants are a sturdy twill fabric that can be dressed up or down.
Lastly, to keep things a little unexpected, I added my favorite neutral – LEOPARD!
While this top doesn’t really need jewelry, I still chose to wear a few of my favorite pieces: matte gold leather earrings and tons of bracelets.
