So, here it is, the last day of 2013. This is all kinds of crazy. I mean, I know time passes but, gosh, doesn’t it seem like the older you get the more quickly time passes? I wonder why that is… While sitting here watching The Twilight Zone marathon {an annual tradition in my home}, I started reflecting on the past year and thought, why not share some of my favorite moments with you all? Christmas Decor 2013 {In the Cafe}
For the past few weeks my family and I have hemmed and hawed over whether or not we were going to decorate for Christmas this year. The girls and I were saddened by the loss of nearly 20 years worth of ornaments and decorations. You see, each year, while the kids were sleeping, I’d go to different stores and search for ornaments for each of them. Something that represented them: their interests, their personality, something funny that’d happened during the year. Then I’d take a marker and put their name and year on the bottom of the ornament. Cranberry Glazed Chicken {In the Kitchen}
I should not be allowed to grocery shop when I’m hungry. It never ends well. Or, at least, it almost never ends well. Case in point: I bought a bag of fresh cranberries with the intentions of making Orange Cranberry Bread. Only I forgot to buy the orange juice and the oranges. So the cranberries sat and sat and sat until they finally got to the “use them or lose them” stage in my fridge. I decided to use them. For chicken.
