Hello, wishing all of you an early Happy Thanksgiving. Do you have plans? We’re not doing much. It’ll just be The Hubs, our two youngest girls, and me this year. We’ve gone back and forth over whether or not we want a traditional meal. We’ve opted for a mix: Cornish Hen, baked macaroni and cheese, cornbread stuffing {do you say “dressing”?}, cranberry sauce {from a can because yes}, and pies {pumpkin for The Hubs and sweet potato for me}.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know my chief complaint about the library where I work {every library, to be honest} is that it’s freezing. Usually, I wear gloves but found that they can be a bit cumbersome, so I started looking for fingerless gloves when I remembered that a friend of mine makes arm warmers. So I contacted her to see if she had any for sale. She asked my favorite colors and within a couple of days, she’d laid out a pattern and sent pictures to me for approval.
It was love at first sight.
When I received them in the mail, I was so impressed that I immediately sent Teri another message and requested three more pair {another for myself and a pair for each of my younger daughters}. They are sooooo soft and warm. I wore them to work for the first time on Monday and was so happy with them. I was able to type, hold my coffee, carry books, and complete all of my other tasks without cold hands or fear of dropping stuff because of slippery gloves. If you have cold hands or know someone who does, these arm warmers make wonderful stocking stuffers!
I know, I’m so rude, but ohmygosh look at the back of these boots. Seriously. How fabulous are they? I’m such a boots girl, but these are hands down my favorite pair. The last time I wore them I walked into rooms I didn’t even need to enter, just so I could make an exit.
