I’d like to welcome you to Coffee Talk. If you’re new here, this is where I share some of the great and not~so~great stuff that I find on the web. Topics range from news stories that leave me scratchin’ my head to DIYs that I think are absolutely clever. And, who knows, there may even be a recipe thrown in here or there just for fun.
I know not all of you are photographers {nor are you necessarily interested in photography}, but most of you do like to take the occasional photo to document your day or an event, so I’ve decided to share a few of my favorite photography tips:
- Bethadilly.com ~ The Power of Faceless: 5 Times You Should Consider a Faceless Portrait
- Everyday Eyecandy ~ 11 Photo Ideas for Instagram
- Live Snap Love ~ Photography Project Ideas

And for my own tip: GET IN THE FRAME. You need proof {beyond the fact that you were the one holding the camera} that you were there and that you were part of your family’s life. Some of my biggest photography regrets are that I don’t have wedding photos, maternity photos, or more photos of me with my kids when they were younger. Those are times and memories that I’ll never be able to recapture. And, odd as this may sound, I wish that I’d documented my cancer journey. That was a defining moment in my life. So much happened during that time: I graduated from college, leaned on The Hubs in a way I never thought I’d have to, learned that my kids were capable of compassion, etc. I wish I could look back on that time and just remember…
Now, it’s your turn… What’s going on in your world? Anything have you scratching your head or belly laughing? Is there a book I absolutely must add to my TBR Shelf? Have you cooked or ordered anything tasty?
Cheers,
