You guys, today we’re having my going away party at work. This makes my leaving all work official and e’erything. As of today I have 6 work days left and that’s it. Things go into overdrive. The packers will be boxing up my stuff and shipping it off to Georgia, my daughter will be graduating from high school, and then it’s the long drive to our new home. It feels like time is speeding up and slowing down at the same time.
Needless to say, with all of the prepping for the move, I haven’t taken any pictures of myself for this week. And, honestly, I wasn’t going to post anything until I saw Suzanne Carillo’s post: How to Wear Jeans with A Dress. If you haven’t checked out her blog, do so now. I’m such a fan of her eclectic style and her tongue-in-cheek writing. She asked if anyone else wears jeans with a dress and I thought, yep, all the time.
If you notice, Suzanne and the ladies that she highlights wore their dresses with fitted jeans, whereas I tend to wear mine with bootcuts. I like them both ways although I don’t think I’ve ever worn my dresses with skinnies before. I think the fitted bottoms give the look a more upscale (think denim tights) look, whereas the bootcuts and flares are more run through the woods chasing butterflies. Oh gosh, maybe I am more Mori Girl than I thought.
