Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a beautiful week. I know I am. I celebrated my 41st birthday on Monday and my 19th wedding anniversary on Tuesday. My family went out of their way to make this year incredibly special for me and I love them all dearly for it. I’ve been a bit weepy since we’ve started planning for the twins to go to college. My babies…..

Cream Cardi Brown Tee and Teal Floral Skirt {Living Outside the Stacks}

I’m not sure when or where I bought this tee but I know it’s been over 5 years. And in that time, I think I’ve worn it about 6 times. I was first attracted to the tee because, well, it’s a tee and it had that worn vintage broken in feel. You  know, soft and thread bare in some places… Like it was loved for years. Just perfect.

I’ve never been one for accessories. Working in a library and having jewelry clinking and clanking can be annoying. However, I don’t do much librarian~ing these days, so I’ve started playing around with rings and bracelets.

Right now, I’m totally digging the word bracelets that the hubs picked out for me. Purple is my favorite color, I’m fierce, and I grew up in Italy. So, yeah, totally me.

The silver bracelets were left to me by the hubs grandmother when she passed away. For years, they’ve been sitting in the corner of my drawer going unworn, now I’m rocking them every day.

The skirt is a $3 purchase from Goodwill that has more than earned its keep. I could seriously pair this skirt with everything in my closet and never be disappointed. Although it’s a bright color with bold flowers, I treat it as a neutral. And the material is versatile enough that it works for summer and winter.

Wearing a graphic tee with a floral skirt is new for me. It’s like pattern mixing but not. I like the rough and tough feel of the tee paired with the girly skirt. It’s so unexpected. Next time I pair these two, and I will pair them again, I think I’ll add a navy blue or dark teal cardi for more contrast.

Do you wear jewelry? Besides a wedding set, what’s your favorite piece?
