“Only you could pull off stripes and florals…”, the hubs upon seeing my outfit. My response? Smile and nod.
Of course, I would never admit to him that I was having second thoughts about my choice but I didn’t have enough time to change. Pattern mixing is so far out of my comfort zone but I’m trying to broaden my sartorial horizons.
This is the second time I’ve worn stripes and florals. Of the two, I think this is my favorite version. I like the mustard against the turquoise and browns. And, of course, that skirt is probably my favorite thrift store purchase ever. It goes with everything. And it’s incredibly versatile ~ I can wear it cool and casual in the summer and pair it with tights, boots, and a chunky sweater for winter. I think the only thing I’d do differently with this outfit is wear a darker cardi, maybe in blue or dark brown.
