Florals and Stripes {In the Closet}
“Only you could pull off stripes and florals…”, the hubs upon seeing my outfit. My response? Smile and nod. Of course, I would never admit to him that I was having second thoughts about my choice but I didn’t have enough time to change. Pattern mixing is so far out of my comfort zone but I’m trying to broaden my sartorial horizons. This is the second time I’ve worn stripes and florals. Thrift Store Chic {In the Closet}
Happy Wednesday! I hope you guys had a great Labor Day Weekend. I did, I got to see my twin sister and her family. Two days. In a row. By accident. She ended her talk with a discussion about the importance of buying local. One of the stores she mentioned was Annie Laurie’s Antiques. Now I’d been hearing about this shop pretty much since I moved to Missouri but I never quite found the…

Red Cowboy Boots {Shoe Style Saturday}
So much has happened in the two weeks that I’ve been offline… First, let’s talk about those boots, shall we? Aren’t they fantabulous? Ever since we moved to the South I’ve been dying to get a pair of cowboy boots. Full southern experience, y’all…. Anyway, I picked these beauties up at a cute little consignment shop called The Clothes Line for all of $8.75! Score! The most exciting thing is that we’ve moved into a new house. Honest to goodness, this is our dream home. From the colors to the carpet to the front porch, everything about this place feels like it was custom made for us. I cannot wait…
