So, we’re finally here in Georgia. I can’t believe it. After all of those months of counting down, we’re finally here and settling in to our new home. But before we left, we took some time to celebrate:
1. All five of the kids together in one place at the same time in I don’t even know how many years
It was amazing. I had to fight with everything inside of me not to cry from the sheer joy of seeing all of our kids together. They were loud and funny and beautiful and everything I wanted our last weekend in Missouri to be.
2. Our daughter graduated from high school
I don’t think there were prouder parents in the auditorium. Not only did our daughter graduate but we {along with everyone else} found out that an anonymous donor gifted her with some money towards her education.
3. We left Missouri and headed to Georgia around 6 in the morning. Longest drive ever.
Fifteen minutes into the drive I was squirmy and ready to get out of the car. I do not travel well. At all.
4. Our new home has Magnolia Trees.
You don’t know how happy this discovery made me. I only saw the house twice before we bought it and that was waaaaay back in March, so I’m discovering all sorts of things that I missed on the walk throughs.
5. Squeekerz is adjusting.
This dog. He’s taking full advantage of this whole be nice to Squeekerz because he doesn’t understand what’s going on thing. Everything that falls to the floor becomes his property — our pillows, clothes, food, etc.
So that’s about it for us. What’ve you been up to?
Finally Here,
