Flexi Hair Clip Review and Giveaway {living outside the stacks}

If you’ve been reading my blog or following me on Instagram for a while, then you’ve seen my hair go through a lot of changes. And I do mean a lot. About 6 months ago, I decided to let my hair go completely natural – no chemicals at all. Around that time, my hair was blonde and I’d added pink, teal, and purple streaks to it in honor of my mother-in-law {a breast cancer survivor}, The Hubs ex-wife {who passed away from cancer}, and myself {a thyroid cancer survivor}. All of this processing wreaked havoc on my hair and it just started to feel and look unhealthy. Add to that, the uptick in shedding due to stress and I knew something had to give or the damage would be irreparable.

Initially, I thought I’d just let go of the dye. I’ve been dying my hair since I was about 12, so it has been a long time since I’ve seen the natural color. I’ve also started to develop some extra sparkle {aka gray}, which has me excited. I know, I know… Some women hate the idea of gray hair, but I’ve always thought it was kinda sexy. So… Yeah, I want that gray.

As for straightening my hair, or not straightening it, as the case may be, that just kinda happened. Last year, I did the Big Chop and cut off all my hair and grew it out in its naturally curly state, but – in a moment of frustration – I straightened it again. Something I have regretted ever since. At this point in my life, I don’t want to cut my hair off {although in this Louisiana heat, I imagine it would feel sooooo good}, so I’ve decided to grow the relaxer out {relaxer cannot be washed out, it has to be cut off or grown out with the relaxed ends trimmed until it’s completely natural}.

In the meantime, my hair is a mash up of everything: pink, blue, blonde, straight, and curly. So you know what that means, right? I need to find quick and easy styling options that’ll account for the different hair textures, while still looking neat and presentable. This is where the Flexi Hair Clip comes in…

Flexi Clips Review {living outside the stacks}

Flexi Hair Clips are flexible hair accessories that offer a variety of styling options without the snagging, pulling, and breakage that can sometimes come from wearing traditional barrettes or hair bands. While the options I show above are more fanciful, there are more traditional styling options available.

Updo {I wanted to see if the extra small would hold all of my hair and IT DID!!}

The Flexi Hair Clip is easy to use and allows for plenty of styling options, whether you want to wear your hair up or down. I have thick shoulder length hair and chose the extra small because I rarely wear all of my hair pinned up. There’s an easy to follow video available to help you find the correct size, you can watch it here.

You can find out more about the Flexi Clip and other hair accessories here.
