The semester is officially over. The students have graduated and we are in summer mode on campus. That means jeans, dressy tops, leggings, tunics, and sundresses. All the yeses. Not that I mind business casual, but you know there are days when you wake up and you’re like Ugh, this is such a jeans day and then you remember that you have to either wear slacks or a skirt because it’s not Friday…
No more of that for the new few months! fashionable fist bumps all the way around
I wore the skirt version of this outfit to work. As you can tell, the tunic/dress is kinda long, so the skirt just barely peeked out beneath it which is a look I tend to favor {you can see more of it here and here}. I love the little peek of lace along the hem, it makes the tunic super feminine, don’t you think? The material is a lightweight knit, which was oddly comfortable considering it was about 80 something degrees that day.
The boots were my way of adding a bit of color and ruggedness to such a neutral outfit.
When I got home, I switched out the skirt for a pair of leggings. I never thought I was a leggings kinda girl but one of my co~workers wears them all the time and I love the way they look on her. So now I’m looking to add more colors and different lengths to my collection. Maybe even some different fabrications {I’m kinda digging the faux suedes and leathers that I’ve been seeing online}.
