Today my church family is celebrating the Home Going of our pastor’s father. While we’re sad to lose his presence, we rejoice in the knowledge that his sleep is but for a short while, because when the trumpet sounds, he will be joined with our Heavenly Father {1 Corinthians 15:52}. He Keeps Me in Peace {Word Filled Wednesday}
This past week and a half has been a tough one for me emotionally and spiritually. My sleep has been more fitful than usual and my waking hours have barely passed without me shedding more than a few tears. I’ve sent up the myriad questions to God about everything. Well, you know, he doesn’t have to answer to me but what he did do was provide me with the comfort that comes from knowing that no matter what I’m never alone and if I’ll just trust in him, I can lie down and sleep in peace.
