Teach Your Kids to Control Their Anger {In the Family Room}
A few days ago, I read a story about a 6~year~old girl in Georgia who was handcuffed by a police officer because she was throwing a temper tantrum in the principal’s office. You can read the full story by going here. Apparently, her tantrum included screaming, pulling items off the wall and knocking over a shelf and injuring the principal. The article goes on to say attempts were made to calm the child before the police were called. Office personnel also tried to contact the girl’s parents, when those attempts failed, the police were called. The updated article also states that this child has run away from school several times…

I Love My Kids But It’s On Now {In the Family Room}
I like to think I’m a good mother. I’m firm when I need to be (I’ve stripped their rooms to the bare necessities for punishment) and playful most other times (I’ve sent all four of them the following text message at the same time: “Don’t tell the others but you’re my favorite” just to make them laugh). But I was not prepared for their revenge… Wednesday night I arrived home from work to a semi~dark house, a little weird but not enough to raise my suspicions. Usually someone leaves the hall light on for me, instead the living room lamp was on. No biggie, maybe the light blew out. So…
