Another reason I’m excited for October is this month’s Ageless Style Linkup. Oh my goodness, was it challenging. But, before I tell you about the challenge, let me tell you a little bit about the Ageless Style Linkup.
The first Tuesday of the month, ten ladies take one theme and showcase it in ten different ways. Our goal is simple: to show women that style doesn’t have an age limit.
For this month, Yvonne from Funky Forty, asked us to extend our wardrobe by reworking an item of clothing in an unconventional way. Y’all, I went all up and down and inside and outside of my closet, and I finally came up with something…
MY LOOK
I bought this cute little romper at the beginning of the summer with every intention of wearing it, but I just couldn’t find the right place or time to wear it. I mean, where do you wear a long sleeved black romper when you live in a small community in Georgia? But I wanted it and I had to have it. So, it sits. In my closet. Taking up valuable hanger space. Until now…
This skirt has been in my closet forever. Another item that I can’t bear to part with. Even though I’m not a big fan of elastic waistbands. But I thought it’d look perfect paired with my romper… Very bohemian, no?
And so you’d see how’d I wear everything on a typical day, now that EVERYTHING IS STAYING IN MY CLOSET.
