Hey, y’all, hey! How are you doing? I think I’m starting to grow mushrooms. Louisiana has been muggy, rainy, and just nasty. I hope this isn’t a harbinger of things to come because I’m so over it. On the flip side, maybe we’ll be treated to a super green spring?
ABOUT AGELESS STYLE
Welcome to Ageless Style! This month’s theme, “Double Duty,” was selected by me. I chose this theme because I’ve been seeing a lot of “One _____ , _____ Ways” posts and I find them fascinating. Although I know it’s possible to wear a dress or top a variety of ways, I almost never do. This challenge forced me to give it a try. I’m taking it easy by remixing a strapless jumpsuit.
MY OUTFIT
LOOK 1
I big puffy heart anything denim. And denim shirts are quite possibly one of the most versatile pieces of clothing ever. They can be dressed up or dressed down. It can be worn on its own or with a blazer. For today, I chose to wear my denim shirt as, you guessed it, a shirt over my jumpsuit. I wasn’t sure about the shoes, but I looked to my celebrity style guru, Lisa Bonet, and opted for a pair of brogues. If you watch reruns of The Cosby Show, you’ll notice Lisa Bonet’s character, Denise, almost always wears brogues with her flowy pants.
LOOK 2
This is how I’d typically wear this jumpsuit. I’m still not 100% comfortable going completely strapless, and cardis are my go-to pieces. If I were going to wear this to work or church, I’d pair it with a cropped blazer. And, to keep the line from breaking, I wore a pair of nude heels.
