THE AGELESS STYLE LINKUP
Hi, welcome to the Ageless Style Linkup. The linkup runs the first Tuesday of each month and features 10 women over the age of 40 styling an outfit based on one theme, and, because we’re all so different, each theme interpretation is different. Each month, one of the co-hosts invites a guest co-host to join us for the linkup. Our goal is to show you that style is ageless…
This month’s theme is: “Cardigan” and was chosen by Lisa of Coast to Coast. The guest co-host, also selected by Lisa, is Andrea from Living on Cloud Nine.
MY LOOK
Hi, I hope y’all had a nice Labor Day. We didn’t do anything — just stayed in and watched way too much TV. We’ve been ripping and running since we moved to Louisiana, so it was nice to have a down weekend that required absolutely nothing of us. I think we all need lazy days.
I wore this outfit to work last week. I wasn’t sure what I’d be doing {it was only my first week}, so I wanted to be dressed up but somewhat casual as well. I thought this outfit met my needs.
Let’s be real, y’all, it’s about 200º in Lousiana right now, but in the library? It’s freezing! So I wear a cardigan every day. And I keep a few in my truck just in case I’m running late and forget to grab one on my way out the door. Most of my cardis are neutral — browns, blacks, creams, etc. – so that I can pair them with anything. But this jumpsuit calls for a cardigan in an equally bold color, don’t you think?
Because there are so many shades of pink in this jumpsuit, I didn’t worry so much about matching the colors, so much as the tones.
I also added a purple amethyst necklace to add a bit more color {because that’s just what this outfit needed, right?}.

I don’t wear this jumpsuit often, but when I do, I feel all fun and flirty and girly. Except when I have to go to the bathroom. Then I feel rather inconvenienced. LOL If you have any tips on how to handle that, I’d sure love to hear them!
