I know you can’t tell from looking at the background in my pictures but we are in the dead of Summer at the end of Spring here in Georgia. Seriously, it feels like it went from a comfortable 75° to blazing hot in a matter of days. Fortunately, I was able to wear my new Logo top and floral leggings before it got too miserable out. Isn’t it funny how when we get something new we want to wear it IMMEDIATELY, no matter what the weather? I’m saying that because I have this oh~so~pretty pink sweater tunic with tons of ruffles that I really, really, really want to wear but *sigh* heat strokes aren’t pretty. So I wait.
Anyway, if you’re looking at this top and thinking, hmmm, that looks familiar, it’s because I shared the Petal Pink version last month. In fact, I was all excited because my look was featured on QVC at the end of the LOGO by Lori Goldstein show. Well, it happened again! My look was featured at the end of Monday evening’s show.
This top was my first LOGO purchase and, honestly, I kind of hedged on getting this yellow color {official name: Maize} because yellows can wash me out. But I was attracted to the brightness. I decided to wear it with my butterfly necklace {I have a thing for butterflies: notice my watermark. And I may or may not have a butterfly tattoo.}. The leather cuff and Fitbit are almost always on my wrist: one for fun and one for fitness.
So what drew me to this top, besides the color? The lace and hammered satin trim. I mean, isn’t it the most fabulous thing ever? It kind of reminds me of the lace that’s on lingerie or vintage clothing. Even with the long oversized shape of the top, I still feel feminine and pretty.
And, honestly, I’m just a big LOGO fan. The clothes are comfortable and quirky. Like me.
I wasn’t sure about the leggings. I mean, y’all, those things are bold but I couldn’t leave them in the store. Actually, I did leave them in the store but I went back the next day and bought them. Even though they’re florals, I think they’ll transition well into the Fall. While this is a pretty funky pairing, I can also see this top paired with a knit skirt and a denim jacket or layered over a lace sundress for a more boho feel. What do you think?
I also tried something new with my makeup: green eye shadow and a red{dish} lip. I usually stay on the neutral side but I’ve been feeling a bit adventurous lately.
What about you, are you a bold makeup girl or a neutral lady?
