Happy New Year! Do you have big plans for 2014? I don’t have any resolutions. I have a hard time with those because I never follow through with them. I do have a few goals for this year:
- Read the Bible in a Year ~ I read the Bible in 90 days a few years ago and enjoyed it. I think it’s time to do it again but on a less intense level.
- Sign on for One Word 2014 ~ last year’s word was “Life”… I’m still not sure what this year’s word will be but I’m sure God will reveal it in His time.
- Learn to use my Nikon D3100 ~ it’s a shame that I have this beautiful piece of equipment and I don’t know how to use it properly.
This is my last Sunday in 2014 Church outfit: a denim shirt under a cardi with a skirt. I’ve had that skirt in my closet since Summer. I wasn’t sure when, if, or how I’d wear it. But I knew I had to try. I just love the tulle panels. It makes it dressy without being too precious. I could easily see it with a t~shirt and a pair of black moto boots. Funny, how all of these ideas are coming to me now.
Let’s talk about the necklace, shall we? That little piece of fabulous was purchased from a vintage store when I lived in Pennsylvania. The clasp weakened and finally broke about a year ago so it’s been hanging in my closet since then. Because, well, I didn’t want to toss it. It’s so pretty. But I had the brilliant idea on Sunday to secure it with flowers and YAY, my necklace is reborn.
And then there’s Clayton, my new Florentine leather bag from Dooney and Bourke. I am so in love with that bag right now that if I had a child, I would name him or her Clayton. In fact, I love this bag so much that I may just legally change one of my kid’s names. The bag is huge, like toddler stealing size. This bag is definitely my new PFF {Purse Friend Forever}.
