Disclosure: I did not receive any compensation for this post. I just enjoy exploring and supporting locally owned businesses.
A few weeks ago, my co~worker came rushing into my office all excited and everything: “Dani, you have got to go to Livi and Company! I’m sure it’s your kind of store!” She then proceeded to give me a rundown on all the things that she thought would catch my eye. Funny thing is, I knew the store she was talking about because The Hubs and I passed it every Saturday morning on our way to breakfast. I’d never thought to go inside because I thought it was for brides. I don’t know why. Sometimes there’s no rhyme or reason for the things that go through my head.
So a few Saturdays ago, The Hubs and I decided to stop in for a visit after breakfast. You guys, I was so wrong and my co~worker was so right! This store is exactly my kind of store! The Hubs and I were beyond thrilled.
Pro Tip: When something speaks to you, get it!
Livi & Company is a comfortable mix of flea market, antique/vintage shop, and one~of~a~kind handcrafted store. Our first visit there, The Hubs and I fell in love with a beautiful piece of architectural salvage wall art. For two days, we talked about it, measured out different places in our house for it, and, finally, went back and bought it.
Y’all know I’m a big believer in five sense shopping {if you can appeal to all of my senses, I’m hooked}. Almost as soon as you walk through the door, the first thing you encounter is the smell of candles. Don’t you just love the display? If I could move this entire piece into my house, I would. Candles and all.
This is the only mouse I’d allow in my house!
Livi & Company is visually appealing too. Everywhere you look there’s something to see: the ceiling, the floor, and everywhere in between. There are individual booths full of all sorts of interesting things. There were corners that I hadn’t even noticed my first trip around the store.
If you’re into farmhouse décor or salvage pieces, you will absolutely positively love this place. The Hubs and I are drawn to unique pieces that have a bit of history to them, so I know we’ll be visiting the store again in the near future. Hint: those signs above are going home with me. They’ll look sweet in my breakfast nook. Because coffee!!
Not only is there a beautiful selection of jewelry, but there are several clothing booths as well. I didn’t show anything from those booths because I plan to do a post later on showing you a couple of pieces that I picked up.
There’s also a little snack area, you know, just in case you get the munchies. Seriously, there are so many little hidden corners in this store that you’re gonna to want to gnosh while you shop.
Last, but certainly not least, the staff are the friendliest people. As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted with a “Hi! How you doin’?” please read that with the sweetest southern accent “If you need anything, just let me know.” Of course, my question was “Can I come back and take pictures? I love your store!”
Trust me, if you’re ever in Albany, Georgia, you’ll definitely want to make a stop at Livi & Company. And hat tip to my co~worker for knowing me so well! You can find Livi & Company on Facebook.
