Vegetables

I big puffy heart fresh fruits and vegetables. Seriously, nothing compares to fresh produce. Especially produce from a locally owned store. So I was beyond thrilled when I discovered Pioneer Market Fruits & Vegetables just down the street from my house.

The first time I went in, I was little hesitant (I always am when I go to a new place, especially in a small town) so I picked up a couple of apples and some strawberries and scurried out without talking to anyone. The second time I went in, I knew I wanted to get more of, well, just about everything.

So Miss 18 and I browsed the shelves and we saw shiny red apples…

Apples
And bright yellow lemons surrounded by grass green pears and golden oranges…

Lemons
And I can’t forget the Anjou Pears…

Pears and Lemons
Or the pumpkins that were bigger than my head…

Pie Pumpkins

I ended up walking out with fruits, vegetables, cheese and a completed photography assignment, which you can read about by clicking here.

This has become my new favorite grocery store. And if you’re ever in the area, I recommend that you stop in and say “Hi” to Shelby and Kelly, the owner’s granddaughter’s.

I’m linking up with Deb for This or That Thursday and Rachel for Show Off Your Shot.
