Retro Floral Dress and Rialto Blue Suede Shoes {living outside the stacks}

Disclaimer: I received these shoes courtesy of Rialto Shoes in exchange for an honest review. All words and happiness are straight from the heart and the soles of my happy feet!

When I was a teenager, I used to save my money for two things: watches and shoes. One year, I bought a pair of black patent leather shooties that tied with a black grosgrain ribbon. I loved those shoes. I wore them until the heels were all gnarly and the ribbons frayed. I never thought I’d find another pair of shoes as cool as those. And did I mention that I purchased them while living in Italy in the 1990s? So you know how spectacular those shoes were.

Anyway, skip ahead many years later and I open my email to see an offer from a representative from Rialto Shoes asking if I’d like to try a pair of their shoes. I quickly scrolled through the site and my heart skipped a beat. There, on the screen, were a pair of blue {faux} suede shoes that reminded me of my beloved black patent leather pair from my teen years. So, of course, I had to reply with a resounding “YES!!”

When the shoes arrived I was beyond thrilled. The blue is so vibrant and funky! I knew immediately that I was going to pair them with this retro print dress that I picked up from New York & Co.

I have to admit, I was a little concerned about the heel. I’m at that stage in my life where I don’t wear heels very often and when I do, they’re usually a chunky heel for stability and comfort. You guys, these shoes are beyond comfortable. I wore them to church, out to lunch, and then walked around several stores and my feet were so very comfortable. In fact, these shoes are comfortable enough that I can wear them to work at the library.
