Rock the Red Pump {In the Cafe}
First of all, I’d like to give all honor and glory to God for allowing me to celebrate my 40th birthday today. He has blessed me with so much: good health, a loving family {some by blood, many by choice}, friends who mean the world to me, and this platform that allows me to reach so many with the truth of His love and grace. HIV/AIDs: Know Your Status {Rock the Red Pump}
“Every 47 minutes a woman in the U.S. tests positive for HIV.“ How’s that for a startling statistic? That woman is someone’s mother, daughter, sister, friend… And this is why I, along with thousands of other bloggers, have joined with The Red Pump Project to Rock the Red Pump. HIV/AIDs disproportionately affects minority women in the U.S. In fact, HIV is the leading cause of death for Black women aged 25~34 years old. The only diseases causing more deaths in women are cancer and heart disease. Isn’t that mind blowing?…

Today I’m Rocking the Red Pump Because I Care

I care about the families who will be devastated by this preventable disease. In the U.S. someone is infected with HIV every 9½ minutes. And every 35 minutes a woman in the U.S. tests positive for HIV. Staggering statistics, no? Women of color will be disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDs. In fact, AIDs is the leading cause of death for Black women between the ages of 25 and 34. Sisters (of all colors), we have to protect ourselves. Make sure you: Know your status Practice…
