    House Tour: The Living Room

    This is our ferocious guard dog, Squeekerz, he’d like to welcome you to our home. If you’d like to make a lifelong friend, please bring him cookies. Preferably, Girl Scout Shortbread but he’ll accept bread slices… A few weeks back, the kids and I were sitting in the living room talking when they announced that the living room was “too brown”. They proceeded to point out every brown object in the room. I can take a hint, I needed to add more color. So I went “shopping” around the house for a few items.     I love my new house.  One of the things I knew I wanted in our new place was a lot of light.  I wanted to be able to take photographs inside without running around, gathering lamps from all over the house and then aiming them at my subject.  I also wanted a fireplace.  I may not ever use it but I wanted one.  I just think they add warmth to the living space.
