Shoe Style Saturday
I didn’t really do much this week… The hubs got his car back, so we are once again a two car family. Happiness. I think we were both driving each other nuts. I know there are families who share a car and it works for them but I’ve had my own car since I was 20, this was hard. Yesterday, I finally got to see a Keurig in action. Random Saturday
1. I spent some time at my “fortress of solitude” aka the Cape Girardeau Conservation Center. I love it there. It’s so quiet. I just grab my camera and walk. Sometimes I’ll come across other people and we’ll chat for a bit, other times, it’s as if I have the whole wooded area to myself. 2. Have you ever walked past a mirror caught a glimpse of yourself and thought Who is that? That’s what happened to me the other day. Day 2: My Favorite Movies (Again, I Can’t Pick Just One)
I’m not a big movie person. I blame it on my ability to become totally distracted by anything shiny. Seriously, I have the attention span of a squirrel. But that being said, there are a few movies that will make me stop whatever it is that I’m doing and become totally engrossed in the story. In order by date (hey, I’m a librarian, I categorize things in my sleep): Imitation of Life (1959) ~ I found out at my dad’s funeral that his favorite song was “Troubles of this World” sung by Mahalia Jackson who sings the song in the movie at the mother’s funeral.
