Is your church putting on a Christmas pageant this year? I remember when I was little, the pageant was the highlight of the Christmas season for me. I always begged to play Mary and, one year, they let me. The little Nativity set above reminds me of our church pageants with all the kids decked in bathrobes to portray wise men or shepherds, girls clothed in white sheets with glittery wings and, of course, the requisite kid with cotton balls portraying the sheep. Donkeys and Camels and Sheep, Oh My
Last night, the hubs came rushing into the house, yelling at me to grab my camera and get in the car. Looking down at my slippered feet and my pajama clad legs, I thought, hey, why not? It was dark and I trusted the hubs enough to know that I would not be encountering people. I was wrong. The hubs drove over to a local church where they were setting up a live nativity, parked the car and said “Go take some pictures ~ there are camels over there.” Y’all, the looks I got were so worth the pictures… This camel was so incredibly photogenic.
