Sikeston Drag Strip {Getting to Know Missouri}
This weekend the hubs and I went to the Sikeston Drag Strip so that he could take his car for a spin. When we lived in Pennsylvania, he used to race every weekend {sometimes he’d take me on a ride along and OMG was it a blast}. I didn’t ride along with him this weekend, but I did have fun snapping some pictures… The hubs lining up to go down the strip. You can’t see it, but there’s a big ol’ cheese eating grin on his face. Tony Preparing for the Race
Every now and then I write about Tony and his racing and how much I enjoy riding in the car with him. I don’t ride often but when I do, it’s crazy fun. Imagine whipping around the orange cones in a big ol’ parking lot, tires squealing, smoke and exhaust filling the air…. Woot! Tony does what they call “cone killing” with the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). I haven’t been able to get video of him racing yet, but I did catch him setting up for tomorrow’s race…
